I love brunch. There's really nothing better than sleeping in on a Sunday and then going out for a leisurely brunch. I wish I had time for brunch every day of the week...
This weekend, we added a new place to the rotation of brunch spots within two miles of our house. Tastee Diner, in downtown Silver Spring, is a must try. It's a traditional diner, complete with plastic booth seats and tile floor. They have great variety and are very modestly priced. Two omlettes and a side of something my husband loved called 'scrapple' only cost us $17. And it all tasted great, a nice bonus.
A couple of pluses that desrve mentioning - they have free wifi, you can buy your lotto there and there's a parking lot attached.
Update - We went back, and had pancakes - amazing! The perfect consistency, fluffy and thick. And we got free biscuits while we waited for breakfast. Awesome.
